The National Debt during Mike Simpson's Tenure

Talk is cheap.

Mike Simpson often gives lip service to the need to rein in spending and stop the growth of the national debt. It certainly takes a majority in Congress to spend the money that drives us deeper into the hole, yet Mike Simpson still did his part to contribute to the debacle.

By himself, he wasn't the sole cause of the radical increase in debt during his many terms in office. But again and again, his votes exacerbated the problem, rather than addressing it.
